About Me

I started this blog at the urging of my AK friends to help relay my moving to WA. I'm hoping this blog will evolve into a place where I share my home-decorating/remodeling, craft projects, and adventures in dog-ownership.

Thanks for reading!!

Rocks in the Garden can be good

The gardening project is going to take a long time. We've "kind of" divided up the backyard to my husband with the container gardening of food items, and dog space (where the poo composter and food composters are located.)

That leaves me to manage the front yard, making the house looking aesthetically pleasing from the curb. Buying plants on sale, and trimming back the vines.  (And hopefully painting the exterior trim sooner than later.)

So my ultimate goal is to diminish lawn space, I actually don't mind mowing, especially with my awesome push mower, but I just don't see the need for a lot of lawn, and would rather have more fun plants (and rocks).

We went to the local river and picked up some buckets of rocks (and then fish & game warden came to tell us that we really weren't allowed, but thankfully didn't make us put any back.)
And this is what I did with the rocks.
